We Love Washington

We went to Gig Harbor, WA last week to see my Aunt Tammy and Uncle Jim sealed in the Seattle temple. We love it there and were so excited to be able to be there for such a special reason. Here are a few pictures of us at the beach and
at a park near Tammy and Jim's home in Gig Harbor.

Erin was scared of the water so she wouldn't let Kevin put her down anywhere near it. She didn't, however, have any problems scouring the forest for giant slugs. . .

Kaylee came up with this pose. You can tell they just hate it when we take pictures of them. :0)

Mindy's Awesome Book Review Site

I'm posting this link to my friend Mindy's book review site because this is an awesome site!! I love books and this site gives me all sorts of ideas about good things to read. Thier contest is pretty cool too but mainly I should just not be selfish with my good finds and spread the news so more people can enjoy this site. Happy reading!!

Dancing and Tea

Tea anyone? Kaylee set up a tea party for her and Erin while the twins were at school. Erin was quite well behaved for an 18 month old--only one plate was broken. (That's just what happens when you smash the plates together repeatedly to make pretty music.)

Kaylee was a wolf at her dance recital. Yes, a fairy princess might have been a tad bit cuter and more worth the $85 the costume cost but she loved being in the spotlight regardless of the costume's ungirliness. And who ever heard of Little Red Riding Hood being chased by a fairy princess? She was great and the preformance was really cute so that makes it all worth it RIGHT???!!!!

Well. . . it's been a while. . . lots to update so I just won't. Okay, maybe a little updating. I've been exploring face book and I really didn't even have time for blogging--now I'm dabbling in both!! Crazy, I know, and I guess I'll just settle with not being very consistent with either one so thanks for your patience (as if you're that concerned right? You're too busy keeping up with all your stuff so it's good I'm not giving you a lot to read!!) Anyway. . . the twins had a birthday in February so I'll start there.

As you can see lots of kids=lots of fun. Audrey and Kira wanted a pincess birthday even though there were a few boys on the guest list--what can you do right? A girl gets what a girl wants (on her birthday anyway) It was a great time but obviously it took a few months to recover from since I'm just now getting this on here. . .

Woops, gotta go. I guess this is all the updating I'm doing for now. Just keeping it short and sweet for my peeps ;0)

Don't Be "Crappy"--Watch This

This is so hilarious and right on. While accessing the internet to watch this I found myself getting frustrated with my "slow" internet. What??!! It takes more than one full minute to access people/places/thoughts from all over the world with a little box on my desk??!! Unbelievable. . .

A piano for me

Now someone just needs to tell these girls. . .
Yeah!!!! I've wanted one for so long and apparently I'm not the only one that was excited about it. I'm quickly realizing that thirty or so fingers on a piano at the same time can make quite a lot of noise so we've had to lay down some ground rules like "no playing while some one is on the phone", "one person at a time", and "no brownies even NEAR the piano". I might even get to play it some time when the used-but-new-to-us-ness wears off ;0) Hooray for Craig's list--it got me a piano!!! (That and tax returns of course)

All About Kaylee

It's finally time for me to update this thing. Kaylee's birthday was on the 21st and she turned 6!! I can't believe I have a six year old!! She is truely an awesome kid. Sometimes I feel bad because she got cheated as a baby and she had to grow up really fast when we found out she had twin sisters on the way. She was a trooper back then and she still is--I don't know what I'd do with out her. Now the struggle is to try to slow her maturing down a bit!!! She's so smart and responsible. She loves to learn and she's really good at reading and creating crafty things and dancing. Here's a few birthday pictures for you to see.

Every year she asks for a castle cake. Every year I get a little better at making castle cakes. This one isn't much but I was just proud that it didn't fall apart or lean slightly to one side or the other--I've learned to appreciate the small achievements as well as the great ones in life ;0)

She didn't ask for anything because she "didn't even know what [she] wanted for Christmas and still got so many things that [she] doesn't even know what to ask for!!" So she got a princess wii game, an outfit w/shoes, a find the picture book, and a makeup set and a gift card from her grandparents. Pretty good haul for a girl that didn't want anything.

Erin got in on the cake action this time. She was feeling yucky on her birthday so this is her first real go at birthday cake. FINALLY we get some fun cake face pictures of her!!

I just thought this picture was funny. They did this and then told me to take a picture of them. They were supposed to be settling down for scripture time but the photo-op was too cute to pass up.
